Mung Bean Sprouts Fact, Health Benefits & Nutritional Value – Perfect Activity For Children With No Garden…

Hello lovelies looking through my camera roll I forgot about these.. These beanshoots were sprouted from our cupboard we used a bpa free tub and lined with seed germinating fabric. I guess it varies depending on where you keep them. Ours were ready for harvesting in about a week..

These need to be watered gently but the perfect activity for anyone with children. Especially with half term coming up and they taste so much better than shop bought beanshoots.

They are surprisingly nutrient dense. They are packed with vitamins and minerals such as vitamins A several B vitamins, C, D, E & K aswell as Calcium, Copper, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, and Manganese.

Lastly with a glycemic index of 25 (GI) and a glycemic load of 4 (GL) per 28 grams or 1oz of beanshoots it is an ideal food choice for people living with blood disorders such as Reactive Hypoglycemia Prediabetes Gestational Diabetes and all types of Diabetes..❤️ ☘️

Bean Sprouts Health Benefits & Blog

Hello my lovelies I’ve been busy with reading and watching Educational and nutritional studies and information. Aswell as trying to stabilise my glucose levels during the evening so it doesn’t wake me up during the night.

What complicates matters is that I live with several different health conditions where the symptoms of the symptoms overlap. Illness and hormonal changes such as the peri and menopause can trigger Reactive Hypoglycemia (RH) symptoms.

Anyhow we wanted to include a wider variety of food to our diet and beans is something we don’t eat regularly as some cause IBS symptoms.

Mr Vegan had been craving some beanshoots so I looked them up and up came organic mung beans.

When sprouted they’re useful for salads stir-fry soups sandwiches and a good source of vitamins B2 C and K. In addition they contain copper and Iron with adequate levels of Folate.

So we bought some online via amazon and got them delivered the next day.

They are surprising easy to germinate and grow in a tub lined with an appropriate material for lining and helping the seed germinate whilst staying damp. This method has worked supremely well and would be a great activity for children at home. Or children in an educational setting.

These are from our third crop and harvest of mung beans grown in a pot. So you don’t need a garden. All you need is a spare container with a lid suitable for layering a single bed of mung beans.

Then ensure they are watered muslin cloth can also be used I’ve read. There are various methods of how to sprout mung beans available online. ❤️

Watch “Constipation in Children Physical Therapy – Moo to Poop Practical Remedy for Constipation in Kids” on YouTube

Hello lovely people thanks for coming to visit my blog journal and website. Before it was medically necessary for me to retire from work I made a career from working with children of different ages and stages of development.

Toileting issues with children which includes constipation is common for some children. A simple food adjustment after seeking advice from your child’s doctor and health professionals should be considered.

Especially, if the child is showing signs of a food intolerance or sensitivity.. It is natural for the child to be anxious and scared to go to the toilet. This video shows some excellent techniques and methods you can employ to help your child successfully go to poop completely. I’ve used equipment like this for my children and at work with the younger ones.

I’ve found in both situations the techniques are very useful. Especially the toilet inserts which adopts a calm safe environment for the child promoting positive experiences for future successes..

I hope you find this video from Michelle Kenway useful. She also has other videos related to adults with constipation and IBS symptoms also informative.♥️

Children & Their Filters (Or Lack There Of!)

Hello lovelies I had a rough night broken night’s sleep againnn. I don’t think I helped my situation as I forgot again to apply my HRT gel. I have also forgotten I have reached my goal of no Pregabalin so of course my sleep was affected. Yippee! From the first time I’d tapered my dosage, each time it affected my sleep the first day.

I make a habit of taking my phone everywhere with me incase I have a fall and need to call for Kev’s help. Anyhoo digressing again.. I was in the bathroom and knocked the phone while in my pocket. I quickly took it out to turn it off and saw it was on Facebook Videos.

Like anyone I enjoy a good belly laugh and seeing Ginger Billy (self titled-not by me!) I thought I’d start it from the beginning.

Well anyone who likes to hear of stories where children unintentionally embarrass their parents loved ones or any adult caregiver. You’ve come to the right place..

Ginger Billy is on Facebook he’s American, and from the deep south and posts videos about his family and the antics they get upto.. Very funny at times and seems to have a big following myself included..

Listen and enjoy… You can almost feel the embarrassment coming through the screen.. I’ve also been in this kind of situation with my youngest who liked to ask questions too… Suffice to say I was belly laughing with tears running down my face.. ❤️

Watch “ADD/ADHD | What Is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder?” on YouTube

This is a fairly straightforward and informative video about ADD /ADHD for children or adults with a diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or Attention Deficit Disorder.

In my former career I was, what was called in the UK a qualified SENCO for children primarily under 5 years. Although the training extended to children of school age

While I was undertaking the training the tutor covered different conditions that presented in children the symptoms of what to look for..

The tutor also covered the symptoms in adults with ADD and ADHD that hadn’t been diagnosed. I jokingly said it sounded like me as a child and she asked me to give examples.

I’d unwittingly walked myself into a example of how ADD and ADHD can escape diagnosis.. Cutting a long story short the lecture broke for lunch saying that I am a typical example of what ADD and ADHD is like in adults….

If you find any of the symptoms sound familiar with you. A good start would be to making an appointment with your family doctor..❤️
