Tim Curry A Fabulously Versatile Character Actor…

Hello lovelies I first saw Tim Curry as Dr Frank N Furter in the cult movie The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I have seen the film several times over the years ( I was a small child on its original release in August 1975 in the UK) and is amongst my favourite movies. I’ve seen him play in various genres of movie and I’ve seen him play villainous characters. I’ve enjoyed them them at the time. But I never knew he played the clown Pennywise from Stephen King’s book It. (I was a huge Stephen King fan to his books at first) I often don’t watch film versions of a book I’ve read as the book is often in my own personal opinion better than seeing the film. Often characters names or occupations are switched and an important part of a story can be left out on the producers and writers creative/artistic flairs.

But when I heard about the film to see was Carrie (with Sissy Spacek) I thought ohh im not sure I want to see it I’d read the book and loved it.. My mum liked horror films so as soon as thy came out on video or TV my mum would rent out all the horror films and other genres. But it appealed coz I read Stephen King Dean Koontz James Patterson and Female peers such as Karin Slaughter Tess Gerritson and many others. I saw the film and enjoyed it and that I’d find that Stephen King thought about his reader fans like me. When films Stephen King’s film adaptation or inspired by films such as Carrie, Christine, It, The Tommy Knockers, The Stand, Misery was a particularly good film Kathy Bates ‘nailed’ that character (pun not intended but I’m keeping it as it fits my quirky humour)

Anyone who has read the book or and seen the film ( I read the book in a day.. I’m not kidding I couldn’t put it down… πŸ₯°) then saw the film there was certain things that happens in the book as you know she keeps him prisoner. Anyhoo I decided to find out WTF Happened To Tim Curry and wassurprised to see what had happened to him.. ❀️

Happy Birthday Alice! Watch “Alice Cooper – Poison” on YouTube

Happy 74th Birthday to Alice Cooper otherwise known as Vincent Damon Furnier. Born as Vincent (his uncles namesake) on February 4th 1948. Known for songs such as Welcome To My Nightmare (I’m) Eighteen Elected and Poison released July 17th 1989 when I was heavily pregnant with my first child.. πŸ₯°

Again I was quite young when his band was founded but I remember the song Schools Out. I also remember vaguely his theatre make up with his black eyes. I also had a certain poster of Alice on the wall.

I can’t remember what he was wearing or the colours. I remember I used to kiss all the posters goodnight.. As you can imagine as I was that young the centre of the poster where his face should’ve been was torn and soggy! But in the summer of 1972 when Schools Out was released in the UK I was only three! ❀️

The Influences Of Heroes Living Or Departed – Meatloaf, David Bowie & Other Idols…

Hello lovelies on 21st January 2022 Heaven gained another angel in the irreplaceable form of a talented artist performer actor and a good human. Known as Meatloaf, born as Marvin Lee Aday, he later changed to his preference of Michael.

Everyone is influenced in a positive and or negative way. But it is how you deal with it and its consequences on yourself and others that’s important.

For me I have many heroes and influences in my life which has lead me to make some positive changes and learn from the poor decisions I made.

For me I never stop learning I’m certainly a student of life and learning, music and film has always been a source of comfort creativity knowledge and inspiration.

My parents and my siblings & family were my first influences along with David Bowie Marc Bolan Alice Cooper and the UK groups like Slade and others. I was a toddler or preschooler of the 1970s and music was what grabbed my attention as a hyperactive inquisitive curly haired child. My mother was a singer not professionally trained. But she had talent and sang at the request of her family and friends.

Mum always sang around the home music was and still is my background to life. We sadly don’t have any audio evidence of this but if I were to choose a singer she resembled it would be Connie Francis or Doris Day..

Coming from a English and Welsh Romani Gypsy family music creativity is in our culture. I was surrounded by creative people it is in our DNA. My family could play various instruments including the fiddle, piano accordion Castanets harmonica (we called a mouth organ) paper with a comb and even spoons.

But I digress, the influence Meat Loaf had on me is profound on multiple different levels. What I liked about Meatloaf was he always told a story even when he was standing on the stage.

Then came the MTV video era and videos like Dead Ringer, I Can Do Anything For Love.

But it was his resilience through adversity. His determination to succeed and the capacity to forgive his father. Who had one point tried to kill him with a knife after Meatloaf’s mother passing.

He continued on his path using the name Meatloaf. There seems to be several origins of how supposedly given due to his size as a baby.. Others mention it was due to a cruel comment by his sports coach. Regardless Michael Lee Aday took the name and made it his own. He owned the name Meatloaf ❀️

Watch “Sweet – Blockbuster – Top Of The Pops 25.01.1973 (OFFICIAL)” on YouTube

Hi there lovelies I don’t have a television set up to watch terrestrial or Freeview HD TV. Anything I want to view my go-to place is always YouTube. I remember this song it was one of my earliest introduction to Rock and Glam Rock music.

Sweet was one of my favourite bands but when I heard that siren with the guitar and drums at the age of 4 I loved the sounds, it grabbed my attention. Other music I liked was Queen with bohemian rhapsody and David Bowie as Ziggy Stardust..β™₯️

I have an eclectic taste in music and I live and breathe music for as far back as I can remember. I usually have a radio on as I’m a prolific reader. But I like a music video or watching comediennes and comedians.. andΒ  comedy sketches..
