Biomedicines | Free Full-Text | “Flower Power”: Controlled Inhalation of THC-Predominant Cannabis Floss Improves Health-Related Quality of Life and Symptoms of Chronic Pain and Anxiety in Eligible UK Patients

Hello lovelies this is an excellent resource for anyone interested in taking part in the Project T21 registry this is also excellent for anyone looking for an alternative and much safer option compared to opiates … As you know I used to be on various opiates and other pharmaceutical painkillers such as Pregabalin Tramadol Diclofenic Naproxen Buprenorphine on top of paracetamol and a Fentanyl Patch I felt like a pharmaceutical version of Keith Richards… bless his heart, the Rolling Stones member is infamous for the number of drugs and the variety of drugs he was known to have consumed and survived the experience relatively unscathed… With the exception of the Diclofenac, the rest I took on a daily basis included in this were other medicines to counteract some of the side effects these medications induce. The Fentanyl patch was changed twice weekly but I have no other medicine other than my thyroxine which is a hormone replacement as my body has stopped producing thyroxine which is essential for my life.

However, I have a much better quality of life and not constantly laying on the bed spaced out on pharmaceuticals. I can function better without all those medications and cannabis manages my pain, It has minimised the withdrawal symptoms I’ve experienced since weaning myself off of the final pain medication I was taking for neuropathic pain. I used to be on the maximum dose of Pregabalin 3 times per day. Then I dropped to twice daily then once per day. I began to take one tablet every other day which equals to 4 times per week. then I reduced it to three times per week ie I took them Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays. then reduced a day to twice per week. I was waiting until the symptoms dissipated before going to the next stage. By taking it at my pace I was able to reduce my dosage successfully. I’ve even managed to gain a pound in weight, which is great as I lost about a stone (14 pounds)possibly a factor in my weight loss although the weight loss issue existed before the weaning off began. So I’m more than lhappy to gain a little weight… Hope you find these links useful…

Watch “Diverticulitis Signs & Symptoms (And Why They Occur)” on YouTube

My partner and soulmate Mr Vegan has diverticular disease and he gets bouts of diverticulitis then goes into remission. He leads a vegan diet and lifestyle changes helped with improving the IBS symptoms he experiences on a daily basis. Much of his morning is taken up with trips to the toilet and being doubled over in pain.

Then having to reluctantly return to bed, and wait for his symptoms to subside. He’s usually dolaid curled up in bed, due to the nausea sickness with visible shaking. This is due to the severe pain which comes and goes intermittently.

This video discusses the signs and symptoms of diverticulitis and why they occur. ♥️

Watch “How did Olivia Newton-John Find Out Her ‘Dead’ Boyfriend Is Alive?” on YouTube

Hello lovelies totally random post I’ve always fangirled over Olivia Newton John. I think she was a great singer and  I enjoyed seeing her in films such as Zanadu and Grease a 9 year old me my Mum and sister went to watch Grease at the cinema.

When I was able to get the soundtrack of each movie I played them on repeat so I knew the words to every song. This short video shows some amazing photos of Olivia she was stunningly beautiful and has aged really  well and looks good for her age.

She is alive and a cannabis advocate and patient for treating the multiple times she had cancer. ♥️🙏

There are legal documents and plenty of other information such as heartfelt testimonials from patients and compelling evidence not to be missed. The proceeds from the sale of these books a hundred percent will go towards funding a legal case.

The intention is to seek representation and take the government to court… The reasons why will become apparent…

Cannabis as a Medicine

I’ve found that cannabis as a medicine remarkable. One little plant… it’s leaves when you can get them donated via a friend or compassion club are used in food. Cannabis stems leaves and flowers can be so versatile. They not only benefit the human body, it has so many uses from medicine to clothing textiles to building materials. We’ve found its good for putting CBM’s leaf material into smoothies. Sadly it’s not very often we get donations of leaf material.

As they help with pain aswell as additional fibre, and receiving additional omega’s and other nutritional benefits, vital for homeostasis. It’s also beneficial for Mr Vegan’s and anyone’s health conditions such as diverticulosis and diverticulitis psoriasis Arthritis chronic illness as well as widespread chronic pain.

I am a legal cannabis patient, it is prescribed to me privately via a private pain specialist… I have raw cannabis flowers which relieves pain aswell as having other benefits to my breathing for instance.

I also believe if you can prove you have a clinical need for CBM’s and you can do so you should be eligible for growing your own strain of CBM’s at home. There’s opportunities such as Cancard founded by my friend Carly. However, while Cancard is backed by the police federation and Police Chiefs council.

It is up to the individual officer at the moment whether he or she will pursue charges for cannabis possession and or cultivation. This doesn’t mean that the next time you are approached by the police they may arrest and charge you for cannabis possession and or cultivation.

While I am now legally protected from prosecution and eviction from our home for consuming cannabis medicine via a private legal prescription. I have no intention of stopping advocating for cannabis based medicines. Especially for the people unable to access CBM’s. People assume that you smoke it but there’s many ways to consuming cannabis based medicines.

But it shows you that more and more medical professionals are receptive to Cannabis Based Medicines. I’ve been very lucky each medical professional I’ve approached including the endocrine specialist, have been open minded receptive and a positive response.

My neurologist even knew about the ECS.. As he went on to tell us both about the research he’s been involved with on cannabinoids and knew of sativex via his work at King’s College Hospital London. You can be prescribed cannabis flowers oil and available in other places you may find tinctures and edible products or leaves and flowers used in culinary dishes.

He was very receptive during our consultation and wrote down the details of my repeat prescription as I described exactly what kind of cannabis flowers I was vaping via a vapouriser. This was reflected positively in the consultation about cannabis being highly beneficial for me..

He said he felt cannabis was the future and thanked us for the education on CBM’s and encouraged me and Mr Vegan to continue advocating for cannabis to be accessed from the NHS instead of the black market… I’m inclined to agree cannabis is the future and can help our society and civilization environmentally…♥️

Cannabis Is The Future..Update On My Journey

Hello my lovelies this week has been a busy one for Mr Vegan and I.

It started from Tuesday and a productive call from the lovely GP and abit of garden tidying planned til I had a arguement with a glass and the glass won. I gained a broken toe which is turning all shades of black purple and blue..

The doctor is referring me to the menopause clinic as she was surprised my early hysterectomy surgery wasn’t supplemented with hormone replacement therapy. (which I had the surgery in my early 30s – over 20 years ago..)

Both the GP and my Endocrinologist are hoping that it will help with some of the severe symptoms of RH.

The test results from the scans etc revealed nothing sinister such as cancer which is good to hear.

Yesterday was a consultation with the endocrine team and met my consultant for the first time. She was lovely I’ve been confirmed as likely having Reactive Hypoglycemia.

As she had done virtually every test that can be done ruling out other sinister problems such as Cancer. As RH is usually caused by a tumour on the pancreas.

Today was a trip and another productive and supportive consultant. This one was a Neurologist he was honest very candid and open minded.. When I told him I was taking cannabis for the pain etc..

He seemed very interested to hear this and we both after saying if there is anything else I wanted to know or any questions. He thanked us for the work we’ve been doing and to carry on as we need this on the nhs for everyone.

He sagely said it is our future and I agree … Cannabis is our future he sees as a consultant very interesting things with cannabis medicine..we told him about how we advocate for cannabis to be available on the NHS and we both participate on Drug Science’s Project T21 headed by Dr David Nutt.

At the end of the consult he said he’d see me in 4 months and told us to continue campaigning and advocating for cannabis.

So it makes me hopeful that progress is happening slowly and my hope is that I see it prescribed on the NHS services in my lifetime..  xx

Medicinal cannabis research gets $1.5m for cancer treatment symptoms

Hello my lovelies Ive been reading some interesting articles and consulting with other people in regards to my cannabis use for pain etc. I thought I would share this and a few more that Ive recently seen while conducting research.

This particular article was published in the latter part of June this year…

https://www.healtheuropa.eu/medicinal-cannabis-research-gets-1-5m-for-cancer-treatment-symptoms/108283/

My Journey

I had a RH attack yesterday and the day before milder but the god awful familiar symptoms during the day. In order to stabilise my glucose levels I’ve been trying to eat the same foods without adding anything different.

I have found the more processed the food is the more severe and instantaneous the symptoms are.

It doesn’t help I have a number of conditions that have very similar symptoms. Plus I’m on a plantbased and vegan diet so that has helped the symptoms become less frequent.

The only food I had different was I’d changed the cereal with soya milk to a banana and nut smoothie. Ive not experienced problems with Banana smoothies before.

However, my symptoms has dissipated since removing the smoothie which is interesting… My GP had mentioned it could be the banana due to the sugar content is higher blended than when you eat the banana whole. As the glycemic index is lower. So that’s a subject I’ll be researching then posting about real soon..

Again I noticed that when my blood sugar is higher than it should be. The symptoms seems to be more severe and upsets my stomach.. I usually feel cold but the usual treatment of a piece of fruit doesn’t always work. However vaping cannabis seems to bring the glucose levels down..

On at least two occasions Ive had a Reactive Hypoglycaemic attack. I have managed to relieve symptoms, bringing my glucose levels back into normal ranges. I’ve done this by vaping 0.2 grams of Cannabis Based Medicines, (CBMs)

Lastly, the doc also mentioned after sending me several texts about the Reactive Hypoglycaemic rollercoaster.(Once I’ve worked out how to do it I’ll upload it’s excellent information) He also mentioned about looking at the Glycemic Index and concentrate on eating foods in the medium to low categories…I’ll keep you all posted as I know family and friends sometimes read my posts…

So watch this space… Lots of love…. Butti Kom ta Kushti bokt 💖🌱✌️🙏🥰🌿🍀

Cannabis Activism and a Plant Based Journey..

Hi there my lovelies as you know I’ve got a significant number of complex health conditions. One such condition is a progressive lung disease named Bronchiectasis. I have been shielding to an extent (very much like the current Covid pandemic shielding arrangements) since 2013.

For people who are here for the first time.. I nearly died twice back in 2013, as a result of Double Pneumonia and Severe Sepsis which turned into Sepsis Shock. Twice…

As I had been admitted with Bacterial Pneumonia then later while recovering from the first bout I contracted another double viral pneumonia again in my lungs. This spread around my body and I received acute kidney injuries.

I had a number of complications which included Pulmonary Embolisms. Damaged heart and lungs with bilateral scarring. This left a cyst on my kidney again a result of the trauma.. along with Anxiety and PTSD from the experience.

Other complications included Critical Illness Polyneuropathy(CIP) and Costochrondritis which became chronic and its extremely painful to breathe yawn sneeze cough and burping even laughing.

I have been speaking to the Dr about these ongoing issues and she’s doing what she can by referring me to the endocrine specialist team as well as a neurologist and a lung specialist.

I told her about I’ve seen a Harley Street and I’ve got a cannabis prescription. She said That’s great! enthusiastically and she said she really appreciated me telling her. So I told her about the Project T21 study I’d also signed up for.

This is in order to help Drug Science who is working on Project T21 present a comprehensive database of scientific evidence proving the efficaciousness of Cannabis. Cannabis Based Medicines (CBMs)

Unfortunately I ended up having a Hypoglycemia attack while I was talking to her so much of what I wanted to say went out my head.

I couldn’t concentrate on what we was discussing. I had agreed to catch up with her in two weeks time. So I will talk to her about it again.

I’d also have a couple of weeks of Cannabis medicine inside me.

I can breathe in and out with no pain. I also feel like I can get a pretty decent breath in. Like I get a good lung full of air.

Very little hurts and it’s great..

I don’t feel angry violent paranoid or aggressive or any of those stereotypical negative behaviour people have labelled to cannabis to be.

I feel happy to be able to breathe without the constant stabbing tearing pain😁🥰💗✌️🌱

Update.. whilst writing this I ended up in hospital after having a lung infection an unstable RH attack which left me needing rehydrating and I had to stabilise my glucose levels with food. Plus oral and IV antibiotics and fluids along with antisickness to stop the vomiting.

Below are some interesting links with more information about alternative CBM’s .. Watch this space as I’ve got something coming up…! ❤️ if it works out well. I’ll be very excited to share more with you lovely people xxx ❤️ 💚 💜

My Medical Cannabis Journey..

Hello my lovelies…

This is my private prescription for Cannabis based medicine, my experience was a positive one and felt very surreal. As I was able to afford the cost of a cannabis prescription. Therefore I wouldn’t be arrested or prosecuted for possession of Cannabis flowers for medicine. In the UK in November 2018 the law changed allowing people to use cannabis as a medicine.

However, this is only in particular circumstances and consumed in particular methods. Cannabis also has to be prescribed by a specialist. They are licensed to prescribe a controlled drugs such as opiates for instance Fentanyl which a GP can prescribe.

Nevertheless, while cannabis is a safer alternative, it can only be prescribed by a specialist. For while it is legal for instance to vape cannabis flower using a vaporiser. It would be illegal to use that same flower into a cigarette paper with or without tobacco and smoked.

Therefore, meaning if you’re unable to obtain a private prescription for cannabis. Even if you or your child qualifies for cannabis based medicines due to ill health but cannot afford a prescription. You would be breaking the law if you obtained cannabis flowers or Cannabis oil/tincture etc without a prescription. This also includes edibles..

In UK law, you would be jailed for up to 5 years for possession, and up to 14 years if found to be growing enough to be sold commercially.

I had decided to consult a private pain specialist to obtain advice and hoped for a safer alternative to the Fentanyl and Pregabalin Im currently on.

Surviving two bouts of bacterial and viral double pneumonia with sepsis shock twice. With a combo of clots on the lungs. over seven litres of fluid on the heart and lungs drained off.

PTSD,Blood transfusions with NORAD to raise my blood pressure to a normal level and an induced coma twice. I had respiratory failure twice and diagnosed with Costochrondritis, then Critical Illness Polyneuropathy.

Finally, with a diagnosis of an ectopic heart beat and suspected Reactive Hypoglycemia I really didn’t want to place any further stress on my body.

Since coming home in June 2013 I was determined to strengthen my lungs heart and immune system. However, Im not allowed to do exercise due to my spinal injury and the osteoarthritis.

So as I wasn’t sure how to go about this. I started by putting my research skills to use and started learning about biology, anatomy and the human body.

Over the years I added learning about human diseases, nutrition and varied integrated sciences including nutritional science. Law, History Sociology and veganism and a plant based lifestyle.

Id been vegetarian so it wasn’t difficult to transition. I’d looked into alternative medicine and the reoccuring theme that kept popping up was Cannabis.

Now like any typical twenty something we all experience some kind of drug. Whether it is alcohol, cigarette smoking, medication from the doctor, or recreational drugs at a party/entertainment venue. I’d tried a cannabis joint before. In my late teens once at a party, and again in my twenties.

Id never knowingly experienced recreational drugs before. The only time I had an over the counter Anadin for headache/migraines. I didn’t like or have an interest in any pharmaceutical or recreational drugs. I’d unfortunately had my drink spiked at a party. However I was lucky it wore off and I was able to sleep. Before then I’d not even had prescription drugs.

On the occasions I did it I was with a friend the children was with my husband at home. He knew my friend well as her husband partook in cannabis on occasions. We both knew people in our social circle who used cannabis recreationally.

However I never felt the need to use cannabis on a regular basis because I prioritised my career and my gym membership!!😉😁

However in the back of my subconscious I knew it had a medicinal effect on me as well as giving me the giggles and feeling creative. I had the same nagging digging ache in my spine and coccyx since I had my middle daughter.

Luckily the Doctor was lovely completely understood and said I have more than enough symptoms and I’d tried enough pharmaceutical medicines to qualify for a prescription.

We discussed what kind of cannabis I would like and I said I would benefit from a one to one cannabis. In addition the doctor gave me a 16% THC in a tub of pre-ground flower. This is to help me with the severe pain I experience.

I bought a spirit vaporiser to put the cannabis flower in its 0.3gram chamber .. I have a 0.2g dosage to vape when required.

lots of love as always ….Nelly.. xx🥰🥰🙏✌️💗

The Case of Philip Tony Bevington

Update on 80 year old Philip Tony Bevington and his challenging the CPS and Devon and Cornwall Police. They are alleging that Mr Bevington was producing Cannabis for profit.

As a result of this a charge for production of a controlled drug was added. A confiscation of the medicines and all the equipment. This was 9 months ago. A medicine which was controlling the levels in which was at first improving his stage 3 kidney failure

https://www.facebook.com/groups/226832948757886/permalink/250096416431539/?sfnsn=scwspmo&extid=a

The fact is that it is legal to consume cannabis as a medicine in the UK since November 2018.

If you have the money, you can go to a clinic and even get a Cannabis prescription.

But Tony is 80 years old and now has received the devastating news (since he was unable to consume cannabis based medicine in the form of oil) that the stage 3 had slipped into stage 4 kidney failure.

At the time he couldn’t afford the private prescription. so he had no option but to grow his own medicine for consumption.

Since then Tony has a go fund me page set up to pay towards the cost of a private prescription.

He is now under the care of a private Dr and legal prescription for cannabis oil.

Tony’s case went to crown court where Tony pleaded guilty to cultivation of cannabis for personal medicinal use. He had no choice but to take the law into his own hands.

He has a terminal prognosis as his kidneys are failing. However, since he has been consuming cannabis via a private prescription. Tony’s gone from a stage 4 to stage 3 kidney failure again.

Please see Tony Bevingtons Support Group on Facebook. and he has a support group page on twitter…

I will try to post the link.. Xx 😉 ❤️ 💚 💜
